Black QB in the Superbowl

With McNabb and Vick advancing, there will be a black QB in the Superbowl again. Do you think either of them will have a chance to win?

I think it is great and shows the shift of the way the position is viewed. Black QBs are becoming more accepted and even more important, more productive.

vick is not really a qb? um.....great record this year as qb, in nfc championship game, but not really a qb? put up great #s at qb at v. tech. just because he is a running qb does not mean he is not a qb.

I think McNabb could win one. McNabb probably will because he's a good passer, but Vick is so one dimensional that he'd have to get lucky and match up against a Rams/Colts type team in the big game. A solid defense could give him all sort of trouble IMO.

I think Vick is the perfect example of how the position has changed. It is because of guys like him that cause defensive coordinators nightmares on how to defend Atlanta's offense.

I think you will see more and more teams going to mobile quarterbacks...obviously, there may never be another as athletic as Vick, but guys that can beat you with their feet are much more dangerous in this day and age.

Lander...couldn't that be said for almost any QB though? Good defenses give every QB trouble. It is one of those things where the QB receives too much credit for winning, and too much criticism if the team doesn't win the big one.

I don't think there is any doubt of the 5 teams remaining, Vick has the worst supporting cast.

You are saying Vick is not in the top 10 QBs in the NFL?

I played Divison I QB and also coached at the Division I level...I am no NFL expert, but I don't think you can say he isn't a top QB just because he isn't a pure passer. I think you would have to ask NFL D-Coordinators who they fear most and I can assure you he is in the Top 10.

Force him to throw...

I agree that forcing Vick to throw is the best way to beat Atlanta...the problem is, how do you force him to throw? If it were that easy, everyone would do it.

Do you play zone and leave open running lanes if no one is open where he just tucks it and takes off...do you blitz him leaving man to man coverage which in turn leaves no one accounting for the QB if he is not sacked in the pocket...do you spy him with a linebacker that can't keep up with him anyway?

Also, I remember everyone saying the same thing about McNabb a few years ago.
